Visa

The Royal Danish Embassy in Bangladesh handles applications for Schengen visa to Denmark and Norway (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands).

To apply for a visa, please contact the Denmark Visa Application Centre (VAC). Please note that the Danish Embassy is the authority who will assess and make the decision on your application. The VAC is not involved in the decision making process.

Residence permit

The Embassy also handles applications for residence permits for Norway.

Steps to apply for a residence permit to Norway:

1. Visit the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) to download the application form and checklist.
2. Before going to the Denmark Visa Application Centre (VAC) to submit the application in person, please visit their website and check the fees payable. Please note that in Residence/work permit cases to Norway, there are two fees to be paid: the online fee to the Danish Embassy and the service fee to the Denmark Visa Application Centre.

Processing of application

Your application will be forwarded to UDI in Norway for processing. Information on processing time is found here. The Embassy will contact you once a decision is received from UDI.
