About the position 
The Danish Embassy in Dhaka is seeking to recruit a Trade Associate as part of the Trade Council (TC). The applicant should have a strong understanding of Bangladeshi affairs and local network. The applicant should be fluent in English and Bengali. Knowledge of Danish is not necessary but would be a plus. 

The Embassy is looking for a Trade Associate who is flexible, open-minded and dynamic. The Trade Associate will be assisting in the implementation of the Embassy's trade promotion strategy, with a focus on enhancing economic cooperation between Denmark and Bangladesh. Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Conduct market research and analysis to identify key sectors for trade and investment opportunities.
Participate in internal/external trade events, seminars, exhibitions, webinars etc. in South Asia incl. Bangladesh and Denmark to extend network and gain in-depth industry knowledge.
Organize logistics, meetings and provide other practical support for Danish companies interested in exploring Bangladesh for business cooperation.
Support Danish companies seeking market entry or expansion in Bangladesh by providing market intelligence, facilitating business meetings and introductions to local partners.
TC market communication coordination by writing articles/posts to promote trade between Denmark and Bangladesh for use on Embassy website, Facebook, LinkedIn and other media.
Respond to general queries to the Trade Council from Danish companies.
Maintain liaise with the relevant government organizations and agencies, other development partners and embassies in the country.
Raising sponsorship for trade events.
Develop and publish the content for TC programmes. 
Maintain and develop the stakeholder database.
Carry out any other responsibility as required from time to time by the Embassy management.

You Must Have
A  Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Studies, Business Communication or related.
Preferably 2-3 years’ work experience in international organizations or the private sector. 
Excellent command of English. 
Proficient IT skills at user level, including skills in Microsoft Office. 
A good sense of humour and team player. 
Good organizational skills, be responsible and flexible. 
The ability to work in a busy and sometimes hectic environment. 

Employment Conditions
You will be offered a full time two-years employment contract and is extendable based on performance. 
The contract is based on the Staff Rules of the Embassy., which means that you will be offered a contract with local terms and conditions. The position is subject to a 3 months’ initial probation period.
Your employment is subject to successful security clearance. 
Working hours are 37 hours per week. 
You will be entitled to twenty days of paid holiday per year. 
Your salary will reflect your qualifications, relevant experience and proven work-related results. 
You and your dependant family members will be offered reasonable coverage of sickness expenses.
