Danida Business delegation visits Bangladesh

The main focus will be on the Ready-Made-Garment sector, where green Danish solutions can add to a more sustainable production. The Embassy of Denmark and the Danish company Andersen Consult have organized the business delegation also known as Danida Business Delegation. ‘Danida Business’ is a concept developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark which gives an opportunity for Danish companies to get a foot inside the door on the Bangladeshi market and meet key stakeholders. The only requirement is that their services contribute to sustainable development in Bangladesh.

“Private companies from the Danish energy sector can play a vital role in the sustainable development of this country. Sustainable solutions are demanded in the garments sector and we hope that this introduction will lead to some good business partnerships and ultimately to more sustainable production,” says Søren Robenhagen, Commercial Counsellor at the Danish Embassy in Dhaka.

The delegation will also take part in the upcoming Green Growth Solutions Conference in Dhaka which is organized jointly by the Danish Embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) and Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).
