The cost of entering a new market can be significant for a small company. To overcome the barrier, the Trade Council of Denmark has economic export support packages for small and medium sized Danish companies to assist with researching their product potential abroad.
By clicking here you will be able to find information about the Export Start Package and the Vitus Growth (in Danish only), which are support mechanisms of Denmark for the Danish SMEs who wish to export.
The Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) established the IFU SME Facility to promote small and medium-sized Danish enterprises’ investments in developing countries. Through this facility it is possible to get economical support for preparation and start-up of projects.
IFU is moreover the fund manager of the Danish Climate Investment Fund supported by the Danish government. Through this fund, Danish projects investing in climate in developing countries and emerging markets are supported.
Furthermore, the Danish government and the IFU has just established a new Danish Agribusiness Fund, that will invest in Danish agricultural and food projects in developing countries. Projects can be throughout the entire value chain, from farm to fork.
For other support mechanisms and general good advice on exporting to Bangladesh and other countries, we advice you to consult "Eksportguiden"(in Danish only) here.
